Performance

I most love to embody characters with sincere stories and big personalities. To learn about a character and their traits is to explore a new world and create an intricate and unique representation of a role that only exists once in this form, and changes beautifully through other people's interpretations. My approach is to first figure out how a character feels in order to understand what they want and why the act the way they do (likely related to my psychology degree). Part of this is learning how they interact with themselves and others. I then figure out how to step into their personality and bring the character to life.

The most important part of a production to me is ensemble. Building a connection with the company and working as a team is the most valuable and enriching part of the work, and is highly applicable to other aspects of life. Ensemble is always a priority of mine and a cherished gift.
